and utilizing public health, medical, and other volunteers.
The
Northeast North Carolina Medical Reserve Corps (NENC MRC) is a collaborative partnership between many agencies in Northeastern North Carolina. The primary sponsoring agencies are Albemarle Regional Health Services, the Martin
Tyrrell Washington Health District, Hyde County Department of Public Health, and Dare County Department of Public Health. These four public health agencies have joined forces to coordinate a 12-county Medical Reserve
Corps to meet the community needs in public health and medical emergencies. The
12 counties covered are as follows: Bertie, Camden,
Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hyde, Martin, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Tyrrell, and Washington.
